Servicing is an integral aspect of generator maintenance and it’s an integral aspect of Ashfield Power’s business. Testing fuel quality, lube oil quality and coolant quality are all essential regular checks that need to be carried out on your generator. Battery failure testing is another necessary component of generator servicing. We have experienced generator technicians who carry out this work with our client base. For UPS purposes, we check room temperature, the environment for dampness/dust and that any fans/capacitors are doing their job correctly. Remote monitoring is a significant development that has happened in the industry and which allows our customers have visibility of their generator and its performance through I.P. address/GSM connection which can be accessed via an app on the phone. This technology is added to the generator control panel which is connected to the customers ethernet port.
Testing & Loadbanks
Loadbank testing ensures the generator sold or hired is fit for purpose. The testing process covers a few different steps - we simulate electrical demands to the generator, monitor engine and generator systems and provide a report on measured performance. We can also test to see if an upgrade is required whether that be for control systems or generator parts. We then recommend a best next step to you before we carry out any works.
We offer different types of service contracts to our customers depending on client usage and needs. Comprehensive testing and maintenance contracts are tailored to both your requirements and the needs of your power supply system and are therefore individually priced. Our service contracts also include our 24 hour support service so we can attend to any urgent calls swiftly. In the event of any power failure or emergency control issue, our technicians will first provide support over the phone and attempt to guide you through action steps, organise site visit and then restore power/carry out repairs as necessary.
